The West 15th Street Murders

A Tale of Gentrification,

Rent Stabilization and Murder

I'm a 60 year old guy who gave up my career as a reality TV editor to focus on my writing full-time. I'm married to a man who loves me more than I deserve. We have a dog named Bruno.
I'm also a long-term AIDS survivor

I’m querying my first novel, The West 15th Street Murders and writing my second novel, a reality TV themed murder mystery.

ESSAYS

My essays are perpetual works in progress.

Farrah Faggot

My effeminate speech and mannerisms made me the target of some brutal bullying in school – everyday from 7th to 12th grade. Farrah Faggot tells the story about a clever plan I came up with to convince the bullies in my 8th grade Home Ec. class that I was not a faggot. Sadly sharing tidbits of information about my new favorite show, Charlie’s Angels and it’s star, also the woman that I loved, Farrah Fawcett, did not go as planned. (4483 wds)

Life Sentence

After a whirlwind romance with my first boyfriend I learned what a broken heart feels like. Three years later I found out, not only was he dying of AIDS, he had also lied to me about his status when we dated. Two weeks later, at the age of 24, in the height of AIDS crisis I learned that I was also positive and had to deal with the reality that I may not see my 30th birthday. (7037 wds)

My Deal With the Devil

My need to be loved far outweighed my need for self-respect. Which is why I accepted Danny's romantic marriage proposal two weeks after he gave me a black eye. (5097 wds)
